A Columbus, Ohio, native, Mark Bernsdorf, DDS, is a former high school wrestler who earned his bachelor of science degree in microbiology in 1978 and doctor of dental surgery in 1981 from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. An entrepreneur even as a high school student, Dr. Bernsdorf opened his own office with another dentist on the west side of Columbus soon after dental school graduation.
He moved his general and family dental practice to its current location across from the Mill Run Shopping Center in Hilliard, Ohio, in 1994. One of his dental assistants, Candy, has worked with Dr. Bernsdorf for more than 30 years.
Dr. Bernsdorf is experienced and highly trained in all aspects of general and family dentistry and has continued to expand his services offered over the years. He regularly participates in continuing education, along with his staff, to keep up on current trends and advancements in dentistry.
Dr. Bernsdorf was honored in 2011 and 2013 in the field of General Dentistry in Columbus Monthly magazine’s prestigious Top Dentists awards. He is a member of the Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association and a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.
His practice includes many deaf patients, and he communicates with American Sign Language as well as German.
Dr. Bernsdorf has donated his dental services to several charitable groups, including participating in four Christian dental missions trips to Honduras. An avid Buckeye fan with his own “Buckeye Room” at his practice, he is the proud father of three adult sons with wife Crystal.
Mark and Crystal enjoy Ohio State football and basketball games, as well as extensive travel. They attend and serve at Linworth Baptist Church.
